Every badge, rank and medal — and exactly how to earn each
Badges on Cadet College Prep are counted from real practice — every question answered, every streak day, every referral that actually joins. Nothing here can be bought, and nothing is invented. Three kinds exist: ten cadet ranks you hold, four milestone medals you keep forever, and the Brand Ambassador tag for the students who grow this community.
The ten cadet ranks (earned by XP)
Ranks are named after real cadet-college honours — the top one is the actual highest honour at a cadet passing parade. Your rank reflects where you are right now: keep practising and it climbs, stop and it holds still until you return. Each rank also renders as a brass chip beside your name on the leaderboards from Sword Cadet upward.

How XP works: 10 XP per question answered, plus an accuracy bonus (your accuracy % × 4), plus 25 XP per current-streak day and 10 XP per longest-streak day. Volume first, excellence amplifies — a student who answers a lot while keeping accuracy high climbs fastest.
The milestone medals (earned once, kept forever)
Medals carry the story, not the current state — break a streak and the medal you earned stays on your name. They render as brass discs beside your name on every leaderboard.
Iron Discipline
A 30-day practice streak — the habit that wins entrances.
Marksman
90% overall accuracy across all attempted questions.
Quarter Master
250 questions answered.
Thousand Star
1,000 questions answered — a full year of preparation.
The Brand Ambassador tag (the community's highest badge)
Invite 10 students who join with your link and you earn the Brand Ambassador tag on the leaderboard. The tag shows beside your name on the leaderboard — the same place ranks and medals show — and is counted from real signups attributed to your link, never awarded by hand. On the way there, inviting 5 friends unlocks the Master PDF pack free.
Where your badges show
Beside your name on the community leaderboards — medal discs, the rank chip, and the ambassador tag — and on your own profile page as an earned-medals shelf. Names on public boards are shown privacy-safe: first name plus last initial. The medal and rank data comes from the same counted numbers the boards publish — nothing private is shown.
Badges — the questions everyone asks
What badges can I earn on Cadet College Prep?
Three kinds: ten cadet ranks (Recruit up to Sword of Honour) that reflect your current practice level, four milestone medals (Iron Discipline, Marksman, Quarter Master, Thousand Star) that are earned once and kept forever, and the Brand Ambassador tag for students who bring friends to the platform. Ranks and medals show beside your name on the public leaderboard; the ambassador tag appears there too once you have invited 10 students who join.
How do I earn XP and move up the ranks?
You earn 10 XP for every question answered, plus an accuracy bonus (your accuracy percentage times 4), plus 25 XP for each day of your current streak and 10 XP for each day of your longest-ever streak. A strong term of daily practice reaches the upper ranks; the Sword of Honour at 5,500 XP is reachable by a year of steady work, not a sprint. Everything is counted from real answers — XP cannot be bought and nothing is invented.
Do medals disappear if I stop practising?
No. Medals are earned once and kept forever — they carry your story, not your current state. The rank chip reflects where you are right now and can move with your practice, but a medal like Iron Discipline (a 30-day streak) stays on your name even after the streak breaks.
How do I earn the Brand Ambassador badge?
Invite 10 students who join with your referral link. Your tag then shows beside your name on the leaderboard, the same place the ranks and medals show. You can also unlock the Master PDF pack earlier, at 5 invited friends. The count comes from real signups attributed to your link — it is never awarded by hand.
Do badges help with cadet college admission?
No — and no honest platform would claim otherwise. Badges recognise practice on this site; admission is decided by each college's own entry test, interview and medical. What the badges measure — daily questions, accuracy, long streaks — is exactly the preparation that earns the seat, so the hours behind the badges are what count.
Where do my badges show?
Beside your name on the leaderboards — the public community board and the signed-in dashboard board — as medal discs and rank chips, and on your own profile page as an earned-medals shelf. Names on public boards are shown privacy-safe: first name plus last initial.
Every badge starts with one question. The free diagnostic shows where your hours should go.
